Forklifts For Sale

The forklift has revolutionized how businesses lift, move, stacked, organized and store products and raw materials.  Able to turn on a tight axis, the forklift can maneuver in narrow isles, tight corners and confined spaces with relative ease.

Tip: before making a purchase of a forklift, ask your dealer for a one-week test run.  Try out a couple of different models for a month and make a first-hand determination of performance, versatility and power.  By the end of your testing period, you will have a much better idea of the strengths and weaknesses of those brands you test.

Tip: ask yourself, and receive your dealer’s input on the following questions:

  • How heavy and what size are your typical loads?
  • How high do you need to lift the load?
  • Will you be using it indoors, outdoors, or both?
  • How much room do you have to maneuver? How wide are your narrowest aisles?
  • How many hours per day will it be used?

Like automobiles, forklifts vary in brand, price and functionality.  The top of the line forklift may not be the best match for your needs.  Buying new or used is another decision you will have to make.  Whether you buy new or used, the forklift can be one of the most important pieces of equipment in your warehouse.

If you plan on purchasing more than one forklift either at this time, or plan on owning more forklifts down the road, it can make business life a little easier standardizing to one brand for all your warranty and repair needs.  Your operators will also benefit by not having to learn the control and handling techniques of different types of forklifts. In some cases, this may not be possible, since not every manufacturer makes every type of fork lift to fit your needs and you may need multiple specialized machines to accomplish your work efficiently.
